I liked the quiet village location. It was great for relaxing after a long day. I found the owner to be very welcoming and helpful. Overall It was a fantastic place to stay, close to everywhere I wanted to go and to the town centre but far enough away from busy roads and the town centre to be very quiet at night.

A gorgeous room with wonderful facilities and very generous hosts. Perfect way to explore this area.

Some guests may be put off by not being able to lock valuables in the room during the day- the door only locks internally.

Victoria was very friendly and accomodating. The area wasn't the easiest to get to without a car, but the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. It is a moderate walk to Mildenhall along a footpath next to the river. I would defenitely stay again.

Our stay at Lord Mayor's Cottage was very enjoyable. A very warm welcome, stunning gardens and a lovely village location next to the river, complete with swans, ducks, and even a punt! It is a very convenient location for Ickworth House, for Thetford Forest, usaf Lakenheath (for war veterans!). We used it as a base for exploring the immediate area, and then drove through pleasant a roads the next morning to the Southwold area, so had a country and seaside break in one! Lovely 5-course well-cooked full English breakfast with home-made conserves. Highly recommended.

The room is quite small, although pristine and perfectly adequate. Not suitable perhaps for those travelling with children.

We were more than satisfied with the attention given to us by the owners, ensuring that we were made to feel at home during our stay. In addition they do provide such a delightful and interesting garden to relax in. The proximity to the Olde Bull Inn ( 3mins door to door ) is the icing on the cake for the evenings.

Victoria and Kelsey were excellent hosts and saw to our every need. Very pleasant room with view of the garden. Interesting to be in a cottage that was built in 1446 (46 years before Columbus discovered America)! Short walk to the pub which has very good food.

We found the friendlynes, cleanliness and excelent food hard to beat .and the hostess was a genuinely nice person

we didn't book a long enough stay (not a complaint more a wish)

The house is an old thatched cottage, the room's freshly decorated, colourful and very tasteful. The view from the room is fantastic, there is a well tended garden which goes up to a stream. I spent a relaxing time sitting in the garden. I was made to feel very welcome, more like staying at a friend's house, having a cup of tea and a chat.

I received a very warm welcome from Tim. He even gave me a lift to the wedding I was attending at a near by hotel. Super little B& B with buckets of charm. I especially enjoyed my tour of the garden thanks to Emily.
